Technology classes will be researching inventions from the Twentieth Century. The following sites may prove useful in the search for information:

Zoom Inventors and Inventions: a listing of many inventions and inventors
Historical Inventions (About.com): provides pages of valuable information on many inventions there is one page just on inventions of the Twentieth Century
American Inventors and Inventions: a few inventions which fall into the Twentieth Century time frame
Inventors & Inventions for K-12 Education: some of the entries are 20th century
How stuff works: one of Mr. Reluzco's favorite sites!
INVENTORS
About.com - Inventors: this site leads to many other sites would also be great for choosing a product
Forgotten Inventors: a unique site listing some inventions which are often overlooked
National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees: this site is a listing of the 2000 inductees to the Inventors Hall of Fame
People and Discoveries: a good site, but many of the people listed are not twentieth century
You may also do a search using the name of the invention or the inventor. Just remember, if you can limit the search, you should, since you may have a large number of sites to read. The Google button provided below will be helpful. (Use "Exact Phrase" when searching for a name such as the name of an inventor.)
